Connect Claude (web and desktop)

Add Sambandh as a custom connector in claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, including Team and Enterprise.

Works on Claude Free, Pro and Max. Steps checked against Claude’s help center on Oct 6, 2026; Claude sometimes moves menus, so look for Connectors if a label differs.

Pro, Max and Free

  1. In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, open Customize › Connectors.

  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.

  3. Name it Sambandh and paste this URL, then click Continue:

    https://sambandh.ai/mcp

  4. Leave Authentication on Sign in now and OAuth client on Use Claude’s published identity. Click Continue if Claude asks you to review the settings it detected, then click Add.

  5. Sign in to Sambandh with your email, then click Allow.

If you see Advanced settings instead of these steps, leave them empty and click Add.

Free plan

Claude Free can add one custom connector.

Fewer prompts

Claude asks before each change by default. Set Create contact, Log interaction and Add follow-up to Always allow. Edits and deletes still ask every time.

Claude desktop

Don’t edit claude_desktop_config.json. That file is for local servers; use Customize › Connectors.

Team and Enterprise

On Team and Enterprise plans, members can’t add a custom connector themselves. An Owner adds it once for the organization; each member then connects with their own Sambandh account.

Owner, once

  1. Open Organization settings › Connectors.

  2. Click Add, then Custom, then Web.

  3. Name it Sambandh, paste the URL and click Continue:

  4. Review the settings Claude detected and click Continue.

  5. Leave Authentication on Sign in now and OAuth client on Use Claude’s published identity, then click Add.

Each member

  1. Open Customize › Connectors and find Sambandh (it has a Custom label).

  2. Click Connect, sign in to Sambandh with your email, then click Allow.

Turn it on in a conversation

Connectors can be switched on and off per conversation. If Claude doesn’t seem to use Sambandh, click + in the chat box, then Connectors, and check that Sambandh is on.
